Mrs Vicki O'Halloran AO CVO

On 31 October 2017, the Honourable Vicki O'Halloran AO CVO FAICD,BoCS,JP was sworn in as the 22nd Administrator of the Northern Territory. Prior to her appointment as Administrator of the Northern Territory, Her Honour was Chief Executive Officer of Somerville Community Services and served on the board of ºÚÁÏÍø's College for many years. She witnessed unprecedented growth of the College and saw the College programs expand and facilities improve.

Her Honour is a strategic and passionate leader with grounded beliefs who contributes significantly to the overall social inclusion agenda, believing that inclusive societies are where diversity is valued and all citizens have the opportunity to prosper. She is also keen to motivate employers around the value of positive workplace relations and the mutual benefits for both employers and employees. 

Her Honour was a Committee Member of the Northern Territory Government Community Benefit Fund, National Disability Insurance Scheme Pricing Committee, National Disability Insurance Scheme Operations Committee, National Disability Insurance Agency, Independent Advisory Council’s Housing Innovations Working Group and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Northern Territory. She was also a member of the AICD Not for Profit Chairs Forum and the Territory Economic Summit External Reference Group.

Her Honour was also the Chair of the Northern Territory Housing Appeals Board for eight years and a member of the Children Australia Journal’s Editorial Board. She has been a juror on numerous Award panels, most recently the Australian Institute of Architects Northern Territory Architecture Awards.

Her Honour was made a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2014 for her significant service to people with a disability.  She is a Justice of the Peace and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her Honour has a Bachelor of Children’s Services and a Company Directors Course Diploma.

In 2015, Her Honour was a state finalist for Australian of the Year. In 2013 she was appointed to the Northern Territory Government Events Ambassador Program, a position she held for two years.  Her Honour was awarded the Telstra Northern Territory Business Woman of the Year in 1998. Her Honour lives in Darwin, where she has resided for 30 years, with her husband Craig. 

Her Honour was invested as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2019 for her distinguished service to the people of the Northern Territory and to the disability sector.
